Kristen & Bennett – Southern Wedding Film at William Aiken House

Wondering where you should have your wedding? I vote Charleston, SC.  Kristen & Bennett’s wedding was complete with two of the best venues in Charleston. From the technicolor dream-like St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church to the modern warm William Aiken House, K&B truly had a dream wedding.   Shot by our very talented Matt Davis and amazing guest videographer Thomas Hart, K&B’s footage completely captures the feel and emotion of their big day. Matt couldn’t stop raving about how much fun he was having while filming and how great K&B were to work with.    They weren’t just great to work with on their big day, but before and after as well.  I had a lot of fun editing their films and couldn’t wait to share their highlights with everyone.  There were just so many unique details!  From the couches outside, to all the lanterns, the romantic tents, the table settings, it has all the aspects of a dream wedding. So brides-to-be take notes :)   We can not thank K&B enough for trusting us to film and edit one of the most important days of their lives. Matt loved all the vendors and cannot wait to go film in Charleston again. So from all of us at LSF, THANK YOU to Kristen & Bennett and all the vendors that worked so hard to make their dream wedding come true.

Part of Life Stage Films mission and purpose is actually outside of the wedding industry. 3-4 times a year, we are commissioned to film both domestic and international non-profit documentaries and promo films for organizations all over the country. Most recently, I went with a team down to Guyana, South America, deep into the jungles, to film the people an organization called “International Celebration” serves. The full film is still being produced, and will be shared this year sometime, but I just wanted to put together a few clips so you can see first hand, how beautiful these people are. Some of these villages are ONLY accessible by boat, so it was interesting to see towns and villages without cars or electricity!

What happens when you mix a Cajun with a pilot? “Synergy and chemistry”. :) Sandi & Dave definitely make our all-star list as one amazing couple, and their wedding was nothing short of unique. So many personal touches went into Sandi and Dave’s wedding day, it was so fun editing this piece for them. We also have a place in our hearts for couples that chose to sprinkle in a little vintage Super 8mm film. :) One of the best parts of a wedding day is the time leading up to the ceremony. Getting ready. Putting on the dress. Sadly, some of our couples can get a little stressed and “miss out” on the little moments of this part of the day. I’d have to say that the time Sandi and her girlfriends had between the laughter and the stories leading up to Sandi walking down the isle, was the PERFECT illustration of a bride’s unadulterated joy on a wedding day. It was contagious.

The Boathouse on the river was amazing, the weather was perfect, the vows were truthful, the toasts were heartfelt (and hilarious, just listen), their first dance was flawless, the “lounge” band entertained, and most importantly, Sandi and Dave started their lives together in style….and surrounded by the people that love them most. Epic.Wedding. Day.

Enjoy you kids. :) It was a pleasure serving you, and it’s honor that you trusted me and Zach with these precious memories.
