Rich and Mary Craig’s wedding day was a marathon of awesomeness. They filled the day with games, dancing, romance, and even a 5k foot race. Not many couples are willing to run 3.1 miles the day of their wedding but, these two got their whole wedding party involved!

Things we LOVED about this wedding (in no particular order):

1. The personalized set of cornhole (bean-bag toss)
2. Both of Mary Craig’s dresses
3. The jumbo paper flowers
4. The amazing Band
5. The love letters they wrote to each other.
6. The fact that Neither Rich or Mary Craig could stop smiling all day!!!

 From the Bride and Groom:

The Unique details that Rich and Mary Craig are most excited about:
“There is a 5k race the morning of the wedding at 9:30 am. The cocktail hour in the Barn with piano playing and cornhole. Sparklers!I could list a million things….the string trio playing all that meaningful music is exciting! I also can’t wait to see the drink stirrers my mom and I made and the framed chalkboard signs. Lissa and Becca are also working on this drapery to give the entrance to the pavilion a dramatic effect!”

The Proposal:
“The morning began with a cup of espresso and a kiss and we were off to hike a trail near the south west side of Lake Tahoe. We were both working in the SF area at the time so a trip to Lake Tahoe sounded like the perfect weekend getaway…and it was. I was spoiled all day long…a gorgeous hike in the morning, a massage at one and cocktails by the pool post spa. The day had already shaped up to be top ten.

We wanted to watch the sunset before dinner so Rich suggested we head to Sand Harbor because he had heard that it was an amazing view from that angle. When we arrived, we realized we still had an hour until the sun set and it just so happened that there was a little beach bar around the corner. After grabbing two beers, we sat down, relaxed and admired the atmosphere. Before I knew it, Rich had consumed his whole beer and was pushing me to finish mine. I was so happy and content in my little plastic chair and wanted to watch the sunset from there. But Rich insisted we go for a walk so finally I gave in.

We got to the beach where I became slightly pouty when he tried to pull me into the sand…I had on heels and a new pair of jeans how dare him! However, he was so cute and persistent that I gave in, rolled up my pants and went barefoot on the sand. I remember seeing someone taking pics of the sunset about 15 feet away and was about to tell Rich not to walk in front of her when he turned me around and was down on one knee! And of course I said yes! I turned around and found out that he had hired Jen (the photog in the distance) to capture the whole thing! A few pics later, we toasted our engagement with a glass of champagne and watched the sunset. It was the most perfect and best day ever!

The following day, Rich planned a sunrise hot air balloon ride over Lake Tahoe to celebrate. It was so peaceful and beautiful! We toasted with mimosas and took in the lovely sights.”
