Wilmington, NC’s finest wedding vendors came together for an incredible event at Orton Plantation last week. Shon & Juliet, the winners of Orton’s “Secret Garden” were the perfect couple to work with, and deserved this amazing wedding more than anyone. When you watch this wedding film (which was edited and shown AT the reception!) you can easily see why this was the perfect dream wedding. The chapel, the location on the river underneath the Big Oaks and Spanish moss, and the greenhouse reception venue were all stellar, but take a closer look at Juliet & Shon…as their day unfolded. Joy. Excitement. and anticipation. It was evident that these two couldn’t wait to get married. The ceremony was such a testament to their faith, and their promise to each other. They weren’t just standing up there at the altar, reciting vows, they were SAYING their vows, both with their words, and their actions. It was refreshing to see.
With a vintage theme of the 30’s and 40’s recreated, their guests enjoyed fine food, great visuals (from Salt Harbor Designs), and swing dancing lessons. One of the highlights of the evening were Shon & Juliet’s choreographed first dance.
