Up the Crystal Coast, north of our home of Wilmington, is a quaint, historic town called Beaufort, NC. It’s laid back, country feel definitely rubbed off on Amber & Patrick’s wedding day at the church Amber grew up at, Ann Street United Methodist Church. The day just felt like a breath of fresh air. As you’ll see, Amber was nothing but smiles and excitement leading up to her walk down the aisle. One thing that I really remember about this wedding that Amy and I shot is the smell of the church. It smelled old, antique….wise. I loved it. And the sun came in just perfectly through the stained glass. It just felt right. You’ll see by the look in Amber’s eyes, and the tears in Patrick’s, that they were where they wanted to be. Everything else faded away. I love it when that happens at a wedding.
Before the reception in Morehead City we strolled down Atlantic Beach right at sunset. Little directing was done on our part, we just let Amber & Patrick soak up the fact they just became husband and wife. They took care of the emotions we captured. 🙂 Our favorite photographer in the Atlantic Beach area is Ellen LeRoy, and we had such a pleasant time working with her and her team. I wish all weddings could have been this easy! 🙂
Amber & Patrick, thank you for bringing us into your home town and treating us as family. Enjoy this small window into your wedding day. We hope you always remember how joyful you were that day.
