Wrightsville Beach, NC

This was a destination wedding for most of the wedding party, friends and family, and I don’t think there could have been a better weekend in October to visit NC for a beach wedding! Of course, wind is always a factor on the beach, but that didn’t stop Aimee & Chris from having a very genuine, and intimate celebration of their covanent to each other at the Blockade Runner on Wrighstville Beach. To keep with the spirit of things here at the beach, the wedding party decided to do away with shoes! It was great seeing a barefoot groom up there. Aimee went without shoes too, but you’ll notice she put some comfortable sneakers later. How cool is that!? As always working with Lauren and Kevin at KMI Weddings was a blast, and they produced some amazing pictures. Thank you Aimee & Chris for letting us basically have fun with you all day! What a great time we had. And the hand in the cake was talked about around here for some time! Enjoy the highlights film of your day. Leave these two some comment love people!

Dance Party!

I just wanted to post a few reasons why your wedding film will be more entertaining than you realize. With a big dance floor filled with all of your guests, its really not possible to take it all in, let alone remember all the fun that everyone is having at your reception party. It’s especially important if you are investing into a rockin’ band or entertaining DJ. Below we are sharing a few dancing clips taken straight from our wedding DVDs. We wanted to illustrate 3 different styles, all with a short run time of just a few minutes.

The 1st is a cultural window into a Jewish reception. The “circle dance” is by far the most intricate and fun way for guests at a Jewish party to celebrate. We had a blast filming it, but knew that if we tried to make our way into the circle our cameras wouldn’t come out alive :) .

Below is a typical dance party where the DJ (or an ipod if you so choose) really gets the crowd moving!

Lastly, there is nothing quite like a live band to create a fun atmosphere for all your guests. This clip is of tHE.DESIGN! Can you imagine how fun they would be at your wedding?

Lauren & Aaron – Wedding Highlights

We could have seriously put together an entire highlights video just of Lauren’s dancing. I don’t think we have ever seen a bride more excited to dance than her! And she was good! You might remember her “Dance-Off” video we posted a few months ago. Aaron’s not to shabby himself, as you’ll soon see there incredible Tango they performed at the reception (I’ll throw it on the blog next week!)

This wedding day was such a blast! We were treated to a very unique processional with bagpipes, and you may notice the stinkin’ cute ring bearer in his kilt. Lauren, Aaron and their friends and family truly allowed us to participate in all the fun, and included us as one of their own. The setting and weather couldn’t have been any better at theSea Trail Resort, Sunset Beach, NC. We were also entertained to an awesome Blue Grass band to bring that Appalachian flair!

Joanna and Mark Bolick of Tuesday’s Frog Photography out of Asheville, NC were such a pleasure to work with, and again, we are privileged to work with such awesome talent.
