What I Do at Church…

We moved to Wilmington from Charlotte a little over a year now, and immediately got connected with Port City Community Church. The reason is because it’s worship, its mission, and its way of reaching people is CHANGING lives. One of the biggest avenues they put emphasis on is their video/lights/music production. Not only are there so many talented people leading the church in this realm, but people are flooding in because they are meeting Christ in a relevant way. And we are running out of room (have been for years). I am one of the video directors on Sunday mornings for PC3. We have 4 cameras and videographers live with another for streaming to another venue. Its my job to sit in the control room and coordinate a live edit between everyone running a camera. I listen to the songs and direct the cameras resulting in what you see on the screen. I absolutely love it and it gives me a rush every time we do it because it really is an act of worship. Below is a video of a song from a few weeks ago. If you haven’t been to PC3 before and you live in Wilmington, we hope this gives you an idea into the experience and hopefully will come visit with us.
