An Awesome Viral Video

I saw this video a few months ago and got both insanely jealous and inspired. Melissa and I love traveling. We went on a backpacking trip in Europe the summer after our wedding. But this….this is something I would DIE to do, now that we have video cameras in our arsenal. I don’t know, it’s just something about different people and cultures dancing together care free like that that lifts me up, inspires me, and re-energizes my love for missions and people around the world. This clip also inspired me to create the camp video posted earlier. Purposefully different, but the same “dancing” message.

A Break from the Norm

Well, we aren’t shooting a wedding this week. But I am filming down here in Traveler’s Rest, SC this week for a children’s camp from a church in Charlotte. It’s a good break from the norm. Although its action packed and there is always something to film, I actually enjoy the break and come back refreshed with new and creative ideas. Also, how could the kids not love the camera guy!? They wanted me to come up with a short concept trailer promoting the DVD I am making. We show it mid week to pump the kids up. It was fun to come up with! If you need a good laugh watching kids and adults alike embarrassing themselves, take a look, (you also might see a familiar face). Now, keep in mind, this was made for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, so it might come across as a little cheesy, but look at it as an opportunity to remember what its like to be a kid and be away from home at camp! Running time 3 1/2 minutes.

Matt & Molly – Wedding Highlights

May 17th, 2008 – Charlotte, NC

We have gotten to know Matt and Molly very well leading up to their wedding. We filmed Molly’s Bridal Elegance Video and at the beginning of the year they participated in our Engagement Story contest where we learned that Matt proposed under the fireworks at Disneyland. That’s great and all, but when we did some pre-planning for the wedding and asked them what a few of their favorite songs were, they both won me over with their mutual appreciation for the epic ballad “Glory of Love” from The Karate Kid movie. I couldn’t wait to film this wedding day! Sadly, this awesome song didn’t make the cut for the highlights video, for a very good reason. Matt and Molly had a LIVE karaoke band as the reception entertainment. The guests, along with a closing song from Matt truly entertained everyone present, and gave me an idea for their highlights video. Matt sang “Yellow” by Coldplay. Awesome song, but some might say a little heavy for a wedding video. However, if you know Matt and Molly, you know how perfect this song and video fit together. Congratulations Matt and Molly. Thanks for letting us be a part of your celebration. Working with Laura Negri Photography out of Atlanta was great too! Incredible pictures! Everyone, enjoy the video and leave your comments!
